Not liking it out of the box.
So I am posting this review based solely on inspection and assembly. I have not placed my dog in it yet. I will update after the first time in the cage. 2 Stars to start. So first the package did come pretty banged up and the baggy holding the bolts was damaged, luckily it was taped up a lot by UPS I think so nothing fell out. Also no instructions. I mean its intuitive, but took me a few minutes to round up all my sockets and wrenches to determine size.FYI Top bolts are 14MM and bottom bolts are 10MMA lot of the folding "hinges" that had to be tightened were all bent out of shape (see images.) Luckily just the socket and wrench straightened them out upon tightening (was way to easy to bend back during that.) The cage overall does feel incredibly cheap for 180 bucks. I mean the frame is nice and looks good, but seems like they spent a lot of time making the frame and painting it then they did thinking about the wire grids. The grids are THIN metal grids just like the ones on the cheap ones at your local pet store. The grids have a top bar and bottom bar (wire same size) that the vertical grids are attached to. Mind you this top and bottom bar has MICRO tack welds, 3 down the entire run of a 43" length. and the seeds where the horizontal wires are either seemed to the edges or inserted, IDK yet since I did not try to test. You can easily grab the wire and pull in and out and it flexes a LOT. I have 0 faith this will stop my husky from just pulling the panel down. I know the main frame won't budge though lol.Lets move on to the frame itself. Firstly, the wire grids (small holes) in the bottom where the pet stands SUCK. My poor dog walked on ti at first and the wires were between his toes. I rushed him out and moved the plastic mat from under there to in the cage, problem solved. Now this may not be needed for others but my dog hates blankets or crate mats because he overheats. (I would too with that much hair!!) Also the wheels suck. The threads are crooked (no I did not cross thread)The bolts.... ahhh the bots...WHAT A PAIN IN THE A**. Yes I cursed, because thats all you can do. My wrenches were too big to slip into the space, so I had to use an old "included to setup furniture" punched out thin metal one (that fit luckily) to grab the bottom heads. Then used a socket with a knuckle to be able to tighten them. 1/4 turn over and over and over again. The punch metal piece to hold the other bolt really started annoying my hand after the 3rd bolt. Maybe if you had say a 1/4 inch drive socket set, with two drive handles you could make it work better. I did not.Overall I am just not impressed. I should have spent the extra 40 bucks and got the stronger one with steel bars and a much better system. I feel they tried to make this "collapsible" and in dong so made it hard to work. Not to mention, once you fight through and tighten all the bolts, you're not taking it apart, well not easily at least. They should have had the panels bolt into the frame like the top ones did and it would be great! I am going to Zip tie the upper and lower wires to the frame for higher protection because I feel that will little force I could break the tack welds myself and my dogs a million times stronger than me. All it takes is breaking the bottom welds and he can squeeze out even if the sides do stay in place.Overall very disappointed in this. I would honestly return but its such a hassle to put up and take apart I will just keep it and modify as needed, hopefully it works.

Okay- so I've had this cage probably about a month and a half now.. I have a fifty pound pit bull that suffers from severe anxiety whenever I leave the house to the point where I unfortunately had to end up leaving her outside tied up when I left the house. (Stay at home mom so it's not like she was out for hours on end every day or even 5 days a week.) She completely DESTROYED her PREVIOUS cage which got to the point where it couldn't hold her no matter how hard I tried. I even tried locking her in the bathroom. HA. Let's just say I came home to a completely destroyed bathroom to keep things simple. THIS CAGE HAS BEEN A LIFE SAVER. She was able to somehow bend 4 prongs the first day but that was it! Truly pleased with this cage. The only thing which would not hinder my rating at all because I'm so pleased is that the breaks where iffy to begin with on the two wheels and now they don't seem to work. I DOMT CARE THOUGH! Definitely suggest this cage.

I was in New York getting my puppy when the crate arrived in Las Vegas. My husband did not open the box. When I got back with the puppy and opened the box, I was upset to see dents in the metal pan, as well as, large gaps between the pan and the sides of the crate. I would prefer a plastic pan. I am very concerned about rusting, and the formation of sharp edges, or her getting her toes stuck between the pan and the sides.
Additionally, and even more upsetting, is the difficulty using the large side door. It is impossible to open quickly, and almost impossible without two hands. The door alignment seems off and the latch is misaligned so that you need to push down the door so that the latch will be able to be pulled through the opening. I would probably return it if I had time, but because I was out of state nearly a month, I do not have time to find a replacement.
The positives are that it is foldable and easy to set up. This crate is very large and heavy, but is suitable for a great dane.

This kennel was bought because my dog has severe seperation anxiety and leaving her home alone free roaming is not an option due to her having hurt herself in the past. She loves her kennel. She knows when I leave she has to be in it and will go to it and open the door herself and go in. I have had no issues thus far. She kennels with a kennel bed, a blanket, and her food bowls. She is a 60 lbs Kelpie and she has plenty of room. I have placed a potty pad underneath, in the tray at the bottom, in case she every needed to potty while I was away but due to her being so well potty trained and I never leave her more than a couple hours... I have never had to know how well the design works. The doors have latches and I can cover it if she needs privacy or alone time. She can lay out flat and stretch while laying down. She can sit compketely upright and turn around. I think it is well made and was easy to assemble (just a matter of screwing screws in). I did not attach the wheels due to not having the need to move the kennel around. I have this kennel in my livingroom and when company comes over it is never a focal point. When she feels stressed or needs alone time... she lets herself in and snuggles up with her blanket and shes good to go. Would suggest anyone to buy if they are in need of a kennel. I thought long and har about the kennel I was going to purchase and yes it is due to my dog being so spoiled. I decided on this one and do not regret my decision. It looks good, well made, and keeps her safe when I'm away. Both me and my dog love her kennel!

The crate itself deserves five stars. It appears very sturdy. I also like that the latches aren't as easy to open as one of my dogs knows how to open a wire crate. The top door is a bonus since the pup who will be using it seems to like looking out, and I'm fine keeping it open at all times. Love the side door as well since I won't have to pull out the tray to change the pad. Initially, I opted to use an ex-pen just for this purpose, but I found them to be too flimsy. I'd hoped for a different type of tray, but this will do. :) It is big enough for what I wanted though taller than I expected. Had I gotten one size down, the dog who will be using it would not have room for a bed and puppy pad. She's a tiny dog, and while I'd rather not put her in a crate this size, she always potties on her blankets in crates more suited to her. I am hoping by giving her more room and a pad, should she need to go, she will not go on her bed. Did I mention I'm tired of washing beds? Time will tell if this method works. Now I just need to find a good spot to put it in my small house!

I liked the features, but it is not what I would call heavy duty.
Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2016
I bought this quite sturdy crate for a 5-yr old GSP that had separation anxiety issues when I got her from the shelter.

The short story is that while this crate is amazingly substantial, it could not contain a really determined anxiety-ridden dog left alone for 1.5 to 2 hours:

I had a GSP rescue that I rarely left alone. I work at home so if I needed to go out I took her with me, I had doggie day-care and personal dog-sitters on call just-in-case. Last of all I had the crate and I worked every day with her so that she would find the crate to be a friendly and safe enclosure. I put the crate in my bedroom so she'd sleep there and learn how safe she was.

One day about a year after we started with the crate training, when I felt it was safe I was gone for about an hour-and-a half, my hound was able to scoot the crate over to the bed, bend the bars enough to not only pull everything she could reach inside the crate including a huge section of mattress, quilt, all the clean laundry on top of the bed. Unbelievable -- luckily I have witnesses. It was unbelievable because this crate is quite strong. You can't for example bend the bars with your bare hands.

Anyway, I've since passed on the crate to owners of a 65 lb pup who loves to sleep there. My brother had to re-weld the bars and was blown away that a dog could have bent them so badly.

The take away: Where there's a will there's a way, This crate is o.k. but it won't contain a larger dog (45 lbs +) with separation anxiety. If you're buying this crate for an escape artist dog, this will not be the one. You need to really go big.

Also folds down flat for easy storage , only about 3 inches high. The paint is off a bit by the latches but It looks like its from factory , not peeling or anything / planning on buying another.

I bought two of these cages to keep my Black Russian Terriers in at night. Both dogs are roughly 100lbs and they have no problem fitting in these crates comfortably - one of the dogs will actively choose to sleep in his cage for most of the afternoon as well. There is a removable plastic bottom tray that is very useful if your dog has an accident. I have been using these every day for over a year and have not had any major problems. One of the bottom trays is starting to crack, but a small burr hole drilled in to it at the end of the crack eliminated any further damage. Also, it comes with a divider to change the size of the interior depending on the size of your dog. I have never used it because my dogs were full-grown when I purchased them, but I do see how it would be useful. One feature that I do take advantage of is the second door. There is one door at an end, and another or the side. This is nice depending where in the room you put the crates. It's nice to have the option to open on a side or end.
