spine a rest, with the hole to eliminate pressure. I used it during Jury Duty and

I bought this to use on plane flights because of butt pains. I first tried it out in my car (Mustang) but it was not comfortable. Then I used it on a plane ride and it was awesome. No butt pains. It is a bit awkward to carry through airport, I was hoping since it folded it would be easier to carry. But I believe the alternative cushions would be more awkward in this case. Next I used it in my husband's truck and it worked great. So if you have a small car seat like a sports car or such this will not work for you. But worked great on plane and truck.

Too HARD

I so wanted AND needed this to work for me, but it falls short. I always knew I could be a pain in the butt, but having one is a whole different ballgame. I am suffering from ischial bursitis, which is pain on your sit bones, not to be confused with your tailbone. A recent 12 hour car trip really aggravated them and the pain can be very uncomfortable. While the Cushy Tushy pillow seems well made, it is just TOO HARD. There’s no give to it when you sit on it and I already have plenty of nature’s padding in that area. Out of desperation, I even made slices in the foam holes where your sit bones are supposed to rest, just to see if it would then have some give to it, but no luck. I also think the holes could be a little bigger to accommodate everyone, since I don’t think everyone’s rear and sit bones are exactly the same.

For the longest time, I would lug two pillows with me to the airport attached to my luggage - one memory foam one for my neck, and one bean filled one for my butt/lower back (depending on where support was needed); both however were really neck pillows. My bean pillow recently broke and so I figured I’d give this a shot as a replacement. On the downside, it is much bigger and a bit annoying to lug around at times, especially if you’re doing a lot of ground travel once the plane lands (ie connecting flight, going to a subway, etc). But ultimately it works way better at giving me a comfortable bottom than the bean neck pillow ever did, and so I can deal with the shape/size annoyance for a product that ultimately does a very good job. Recommended.

Still trying to get used to this cushion, I'm finding that it's cutting into the back of my thighs and causing some pain and discomfort there. My sitting bones don't quite match up to the holes in the cushion but I'm definitely seeing a little relief. I have had piriformis syndrome for about 20 years, it's never gotten better even with recurring physio and now I've just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my left hip but I'm hopeful that this will help, I just need to find a way of getting comfortable on it.

The product is highly quality but the problem for me was to soft! And because of that after few minutes seating in it my coccyx is touching the seat and the pain is bad.
