THREE young students are excited about the prospect of representing Scotland at the JKA Karate Junior European Championships.
Erin Keir (14), Jamie Robertson (13) and Emma Eaton (11) have all been selected to represent their country at the championships in Paris on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June.
Erin and Jamie train at the Alloa dojo with their coach Sensei Francis Robertson, while Emma trains at Grangemouth dojo with Sensei Steven Weir.
The three students have already enjoyed considerable success at various competitions. Emma won a silver medal at the European championships last year, while Jamie is the current Scottish Under-14 Kumite champion.
Erin, Jamie and Emma travel once a month to join the rest of the national squad, and at these training sessions, they compete against each other in a bid to secure selection for the Scotland team.
Francis and Steven are extremely proud of their three students and wish them the very best of luck in Paris.
