Trebarwith Strand Beach

Hidden away in a lush green valley, between two dramatic cliffs on the north coast of Cornwall, Trebarwith Strand is a large sandy beach with fantastic views of gull rock and the rugged Atlantic coast.

At high tide the beach is entirely covered by the sea, but at low tide an amazing mile and a half stretch of golden sand, rock pools and caves are revealed for all the family to enjoy. You can click here for daily tide times.

Swimming conditions are good, with lifeguards operating during summer months and a surf school also operates from the beach enabling you to experience the thrills of riding the Cornish waves.

If you’d rather just relax, Trebarwith Strand is perfect for that too, with 2 cafes and a pub located close by all all offer great sea views.

For the explorers in the family the historical Tintagel Castle, reported birthplace of King Arthur can be reached by foot via the South West Coast Path, offering stunning coastal views along the way.
