An impressive range of local photography captured the interests of visitors to an exhibition at Wokingham Town Hall last week.
The showcase, hosted by members of the Wokingham and East Berkshire Camera Club, ran from Thursday to Saturday in Wokingham’s Town Hall and attracted 240 visitors across three days.
Images included themes of landscape, portrait and wildlife, as well as work produced by the 2018 winners of the under 18 Love Wokingham photo competition.
Impressed by the quality of the pieces on display, chairman of the camera club Roger Holdsworth said: “The exhibition celebrated the work of many talented photographers.
“There was a wide range of work on display and we received visits from both familiar faces and passers-by.”
Mr Holdsworth added: “We are very lucky to have had a venue as great as Wokingham Town Hall for the exhibition.
“A lot of hard work and planning went into the event and we are pleased to have had such a great turnout.”
The club host the exhibition every two years as an opportunity for the local community and families of the photographers to admire the talents of the creative people behind the lens.
And as well as their weekly meetings, held on Thursdays in Wokingham, the group also host internal competitions and guest speaker events including an upcoming visit from two wedding photography professionals.
