'SLOW DOWN on Skyline Drive': Shenandoah National Park warns drivers of speeding

Shenandoah National Park is urging motorists to slow down when traveling on Skyline Drive ahead of the Memorial Day weekend.

On Thursday, park officials posted a photo of a truck being hoisted from a cliff over the rock wall that lines Skyline Drive.

The Facebook post gained the attention of thousands of people.

"When we say, "SLOW DOWN on Skyline Drive," we really, really mean it!" park officials posted.

The speed limit for Skyline Drive is 35 mph in most places. It takes about three hours to travel the entire length of the 105-mile National Parkway on a clear day.
