The two bowling greens in West Bank Park are managed by the West Bank Park Bowling Association. The greens are used regularly by the club during the summer season for informal matches, practice games and League fixtures. The bowling season runs from April to September and there’s usually someone playing there most afternoons (weather permitting!).
The club plays in the York & District Bowling Leagues, with teams in the Daytime, Evening and Veterans leagues. The York & District Leagues are overseen by the York Amateur Bowling Association (YABA).
The club is always looking for new players and it’s a great way to get out and meet new people. Club members are very happy to welcome new and experienced bowlers alike and Free taster sessions are always available to anyone interested in trying bowling.
