The Tamworth Visitors Council is excited to announce the first annual Tamworth Yacht Club (TYC) Great River Boat Race. Sailors will compete for prizes and the honorary title of TYC Commodore for the 2018 season. Last minute registrations will be available the day of the race starting at 10:30am on the History Center Lawn, with all the materials available you will need to customize your boat before the race. Supplies are limited though, so to be sure you don't get left on the dock without a boat, purchase your kit today!

Landlubbers and sea-farers - kids of all ages - are invited to build and customize an 8” pine wooden model sailboat and compete in the Swift River course that passes through the center of town. Each registrant will also receive  a captain's hat. The event is designed to encourage children and their older sailing “partners” to learn hands on skills and build memories of time spent together in the great NH outdoors.  The awards ceremony will take place at the finish line behind the Distillery, with food available for purchase from the White Gates Farm Pizza Wagon.
