The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team remained unbeaten against Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes Friday night with a 187.875-185.375 triumph at UW-Oshkosh.
 
Senior Lisa O'Donnell (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) won two events to lead the Warhawks. She finished first in the all-around competition with a score of 38.250, her second-highest of the season.
 
UW-Whitewater (7-4 overall, 6-0 WIAC) started the meet with its highest score in any event, posting a 47.850 on the uneven parallel bars, good for a tie for 12th in the program's all-time record book. O'Donnell placed second with a 9.650, and senior Kate Mierow (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield Central) finished third with a 9.625. Junior Bailey Fitzpatrick (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) tied for fourth with a score of 9.575. Freshman Blaise Wilson (Thornton, Colo./Legacy) collected a 9.525 to place seventh, and senior Christina Slack (Albrightsville, PA/Jim Thorpe) finished eighth with a 9.475.
 
The Warhawks recorded the top three scores on vault, where they totaled 46.375 points in the event. O'Donnell won with a score of 9.475, while senior Chloe Rehberg (Cary, IL/Cary-Grove) and sophomore Lauren Marshall (Winthrop Harbor, Ill./Zion-Benton Township) tied for second with matching 9.450s. Junior Erika Briscoe (Solon, Iowa/Solon) scored a 91.50 to finish sixth, and Slack placed 11th with an 8.850.
 
UW-Whitewater started the second half of the meet on the floor exercise, registering five of the top six scores en route to a 47.700. O'Donnell tied the 22nd-best score in program history with a 9.750 to lead the field. Junior Franchesca Hutton (Shakopee, Minn./Main Street School of Performing Arts) and sophomore Acacia Fossum (Gladstone, N.D./Richardton-Taylor) finished as runners-up with scores of 9.550. Mierow tallied a 9.450 to place fifth, and junior Abby Helmke (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) claimed sixth place with a 9.400.
 
The Warhawks finished the meet with a 45.950 on the balance beam. Mierow tied for third with a 9.425, and O'Donnell tied for sixth with a 9.375. Hutton placed eighth with a 9.350, Briscoe came in ninth with a 9.050 and freshman Jessi Rondeau (Norwood Young America, Minn./Central) finished 11th with an 8.750.
 
UW-Whitewater closes its regular season next Saturday, Feb. 24, against UW-La Crosse. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the Williams Center. The team will celebrate Alumni and Senior Night and recognize the fifth anniversary of the 2013 national championship team.
