The Upper Iowa women's bowling team were forced to withdraw from the SFA Ladyjack Classic this past Friday due to injury.

The event was hosted by Stephen F. Austin University in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  The first day of the tournament consisted of five team Baker game matches.

Prior to withdrawing, UIU had gone 1-3 through four matches with an 822-799 win over Aurora University and losses to North Central University, Lewis University, and the #1 ranked University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

"Today, I had to withdraw the ladies from the SFA Ladyjack Classic in Kenosha as the health and well-being of the team is most important to me.  Our ladies tried to grind it out with lingering injuries, and I could not allow them to continue after Match 4.  We will get back to 100 percent health and refocus on the upcoming tournaments on our schedule," said Head Coach Nichole DePaul in a statement posted on the team's social media.

Nebraska went on to win the tournament, defeating McKendree University in the final.  Vanderbilt University took 3rd place.

As of now, the Peacocks are next scheduled to compete at the Warhawk Classic hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater beginning on November 20th.
