Press Release – TPLC Free Up Staff Time at Youth Centre for Disabled Youngsters by Providing Robotic Vacuums Free of Charge

Guildford based charity, Challengers who support disabled children and young people are currently using a robotic commercial cleaning service on a long-term complimentary basis from The Perfect Little Company (TPLC) at their Guildford Playcentre.

Challengers, established in 1979, have been doing fantastic work in Guildford and Farnham by offering safe, fun places and activities for disabled children and young people from aged 2 to 25. Being a charity, reliant on donations, the volunteers and play workers would often have to vacuum themselves at the end of the day.

After a networking event Laura Sercombe, CEO of Challengers, met Michael Richardson, MD of TPLC who offered a free solution that would ensure their vacuuming would be completed every night to a high standard and free up the time to carry on with the other highly important work that’s done at Challengers.

Challengers currently have 4 Abbees (commercial robotic vacuums) working the premises in Guildford. Laura Sercombe comments “We ensure everyone who comes to Challengers has a fantastic time. This often comes hand in hand with a lot of mess which is a sign of a good day. The cleaning is completed by the staff & volunteer team – often out of hours at the end of the day. With the introduction of our small swarm of Abbees we now have more time to concentrate on the really crucial duties.”

Michael Richardson, MD of TPLC comments “Challengers does fantastic work. It was an incredible shame that the amazing support workers often had to stay late to complete cleaning tasks. It was with absolute pleasure to offer some of our robotics to ensure the play areas were spick and span ready for the next day”.
