Finding the Boats

Important – The boats move and we now operate from multiple locations!
Always check your booking instructions and see below for the different mooring positions.

Tamesis Club is our new embarcation (start) point for most of our cruises this season. However, please check your details carefully as some cruises will be from our Kingston mooring.

Education days will mostly be at Teddington Lock but please check your booking details.

Cruise embarcations from Tamesis Club
Cruises on Thames Discoverer will start from Tamesis Club, which is on the river in Teddington, has free parking and easy access to the river. 

Directions by road:  The postcode for Tamesis Club is TW11 9QY, Trowlock Way, Teddington.  Trowlock Way is a turning off Broom Road (Lower Teddington Road if you are coming from Kingston/Hampton Wick).  Follow Trowlock Way until Teddington School is on your left and then turn right into the car park signposted Tamesis Club.  Drive through this car park to the far end.  On the right, go through metal gates into a second car park, which is the Tamesis Club car park.  Free parking is available here.  Please park against the hedge on the right-hand side or in front of the large building in front of you as you enter the car park.

Cruise embarcations from Kingston
Kingston cruises on Thames Discoverer or Thames Venturer will start from the riverside at John Lewis.

Directions by road: When on the Kingston one way system, follow the signs to the Bentalls and John Lewis car parks. Keep in the right hand lane as you come past the Bentalls car park.  KT1 1TN is the postcode for the entrance to the John Lewis car park. As you approach the car park entrance, don’t go in, but keep right and turn right onto Thames Side where there is a bus parking bay.  A crew member will be waiting to meet you.

Cruise embarcations from Walton and Weybridge
We can also start our cruises on Thames Discoverer from Walton or Weybridge. 

For Weybridge, we start from the car park at Weybridge Ladies Amateur Rowing Club, Thames Towpath, Walton Lane, Weybridge, KT13 8LU.
For Walton, we start from either The Anglers Pub on Manor Lane in Old Walton, KT12 2PF or from Cowey Sale (close to Walton Bridge), Walton Lane, Walton, KT12 1AR.

School on the River Mooring Teddington

Thames Venturer will usually be at Teddington Lock for School on the River because of the foreshore activities. This may be subject to alteration.  Please check your booking details.
Post codes for Sat Nav:

  • Teddington side of the lock TW11 9NN
  • Ham side of the lock TW10 7QA (Riverside Drive free on-street parking and short walk)
