Charity shop chic

This week, I set myself a charity shop challenge. This involved visiting the string of charity shops along Wellfield and Albany Road and finding cheap fashionable outfits. I want to show how you can buy recycled chic clothes at a cheap price and donate to charity at the same time.

I even surprised myself with the number of nice outfits I managed to find. The staff were really friendly and helpful and were really keen to promote the traditional charity shop.

Here are some of my finds.

This is my favourite outfit. It was from Save the Children and the whole outfit, including dress, bag and shoes cost only £12!

Dress £5, Bag £3.50, Shoes £3.50

Bag £3.50

This outfit was also from Save the Children and this great 1950’s style dress was only £5!

Dress £5, Necklace £3

Shoes £3.50

This next outfit was from the RSPCA charity shop on Wellfield Road. For the skirt, cardigan, shoes and bag it cost just over £20. I know this is a little bit pricier than the other outfits, but the skirt is French Connection, the cardigan is Oasis and the bag is Topshop, so they have been slashed significantly from their original prices.

Skirt £7, Cardigan £4.75, Bag £3.50

Shoes £5

This red duffel coat from Ty Hafan – really good for the Welsh weather – was only £4.99

Coat £4.99

This patent vintage bag was £10. A little bit pricey for a charity shop, perhaps, but it is really good quality and proper vintage.

Vintage bag £10

The duffel coat was a bargain for under a fiver!
