Division III Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes
MENOMONIE (August 2, 2022) - The UW-Stout softball team was honored for their academic prowess by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and 18 individual Blue Devil players were given Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete awards.
As a team, the Blue Devils finished 40th with a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.584 among 115 teams listed with a GPA of 3.0 and above.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the NFCA's membership categories. NCAA Division III led the way with 2,227 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for the 2021-22 academic year. The NCAA Division III has the most softball teams of any of the divisions, listing 421 member schools offering softball. Additionally, 7,527 collegiate student-athletes captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2021-22 academic year.
