Today, we saw a much more balanced game against opposition who are at the same level of development as us.

The play was end-to-end, with both sides battling hard all over the pitch.

Star Strike had the majority of possession in the first half and were rewarded with a goal from Kiran after some good build up play featuring Oscar, Jokubas and Maxi.

The second half was a different affair, with Gedling pushing hard and creating some very good chances and getting the majority of the corners in the game.

Star Strike defended well and were always looking to hit Gedling on the break, with some great work down the flanks with Oscar and Daniel providing some great forward passing.

It was one of these quick counter attacks that lead to Kiran popping up once again to score with a good finish.

Gedling played a great game and deserved more from this game, but Star Strike got the result they needed after last week's disappointing game against Beaufort.

Lots of happy smiling faces at the end of this game however and Head Coach Scott hardly had any voice left after running up and down the touchline shouting instructions to the players for 60 minutes!

A clean sheet for Cayleb made his day!

Now looking forward to the next match, full of confidence. Well done lads!
