Southside Soccer Club is proud to announce we have reached an agreement to become an affiliate club of NC Fusion. North Carolina Triad Fusion, Inc (NC Fusion) is a Non Profit entity serving the Triad region of North Carolina by providing sports programs for youth and adults. NC Fusion formed in 2018 as the management company of Twin City Sports Association and Greensboro United Soccer Association. Both clubs have had a wonderful and deep history of success and impact in their respective communities in the Triad.  By uniting the Triad through Sport, NC Fusion strives to build on that incredible history, continually improve, and seek to be a pioneer in the sports community.

This partnership between Southside Soccer Club and NC Fusion will allow Southside recreational players to participate in tournaments and games against advanced competition through NC Fusion, while continuing to participate with Southside Soccer Club. This is a tremendous opportunity for our athletes to challenge themselves and continue their development. While this is exciting news for the club, we know this news will also generate questions.

What age groups will participate?

Play will begin being offered in the U11/U12 age group and extend all the way to U19 for boys and girls.

How will the program work?

Players must play recreationally at Southside Soccer Club to be eligible for the Fusion program. We will hold tryouts for each age group participating and these teams will be registered through NC Fusion to participate in games and tournaments this fall starting in August.

How many games or tournaments will they play?

This will vary by age group, A typical schedule will be 6-10 games and/or 1-2 tournaments.

Where will they practice?

All practices will continue to take place at Southside Soccer Club.

Where will games be?

U11/U12 games will be played at Bryan Park in Greensboro and Truist Sports Park in Winston-Salem. Two dates at Bryan Park, two dates at Truist Sports Park. On each scheduled date, the team will play two games on the same day. 

For U13 and up, home games will take place at Southside, with away games taking place at various sites in North Carolina within a 90 minute drive of Danville.

How will the club schedule allow players to do both recreational at Southside and travel with the Fusion?

The schedules will be built to allow players to play both recreationally and Fusion. We will work together to ensure there are not any scheduling conflicts.

What will the cost be for the program?

The cost will vary based on the age groups and amount of play provided. We will have those details on hand at tryouts for parents to review.

How do I try out for the program?

We will begin announcing tryout dates for each age group soon. We understand that we recently had tryouts for the summer tournament program, but this program will take place of those plans.

How much travel will be involved?

U11/U12 games will all be played at Bryan Park and Truist Sports Park.

U13/U14 games will be played half at Southside, and half at other sites in the Triad area. To minimize travel we will try to play two games on the same date.

U15 and up will vary based on age group and gender.
