We aim to create an exciting and caring atmosphere where a child feels confident, secure and valued as an individual. This is where we are. Great Alne Primary School is a happy place to learn. At Great Alne we provide a rich and a varied curriculum so that the pupils of all abilities are helped to achieve in a friendly and purposeful environment.

Playground Our playground is the main part of playtime, it is also where the “Susan Club” is run. Quiet area Our Quiet area is a place where we can talk quietly and shelter from rain. It is also where we keep our school equipment and our Puppets! Field The field is a place were we can go in the summer, sadly we can’t go there in cold weather. We have tyres to jump on to have fun! Equipment Our equipment is a place were we can almost test our skills on a obstacle course! It has poles, a net, a rock climbing wall and much more. It was built by our friends of school (FOS.)

14 The Susan Club The Susan Club is a friendship club on the school playground. If somebody is lonely, they can come to the Susan Club and play all sorts of games and have lots of fun. So nobody is lonely on our playground. We do the Susan Club every playtime and even have our own school friendship stop! Special Events Sometimes we have some Susan Special Events such as our Susan Olympics, Grand Susan Puppet Show and we hope to have more coming up soon! How The Susan Club Started In 2016 a couple of children thought of having a friendship club in school and then we were thinking what to call it, we thought we should call it a random name, so we decided on Susan. Our Susan Club Goal We aim to make sure that everyone in the school feels happy and not lonely on the playground and make sure that everyone enjoys playtime and has fun. Please visit our website:
