3 ABOUT US... AHC was formed in 1968 with the amalgamation of the former Phoenix Hockey Club and York Spartans Hockey Club. Home to Acomb Sports Club, the hockey club shares the sport section and clubhouse with Acomb Cricket Club and formerly Acomb Tennis Club. Energise Sports Centre, (formerly known as Oaklands) on Cornlands Road is our homeground, we train on Wednesday evenings during the Summer and Winter as well as our league home games. We are currently running three full teams - - Mens 1 st XI, Yorkshire League, Division 3 - Mens 2 nd XI, Yorkshire League, Division 5 North - Ladies 1 st XI, Yorkshire League, Division 2 The club also fields Summer league teams for those members who can’t bare to put the hockey stick away during the summer break.

4 YORK’S OLDEST HOCKEY CLUBYORK’S OLDEST HOCKEY CLUB WHAT WE DO… First and foremost we play hockey – The club has seen a team be promoted for two consecutive years, with the Ladies 1 st XI going into Division 2 in 2013 and the Men's 1 st XI winning their league in 2014 to find themselves Division 3. AHC provide affordable means to not just play the sport but to be part of team without the hefty price tag – and the club is passionate about keeping it this way. Fundraising is another element the club is passionate about partaking in. The club this year organised the Matthew Linfoot Memorial game raising money for The British Heart Foundation.

5 YORK’S OLDEST HOCKEY CLUBYORK’S OLDEST HOCKEY CLUB WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO DO… -Implement back to hockey scheme. -Increase number of playing and non-playing club members. -Promotion into higher divisions. -Provide secondary team kits for away games. -Continue to provide affordable means of keeping fit, being part of a team and part of a sporting community. -Continue to raise money to support BHF and other local charities in York.

6 YORK’S OLDEST HOCKEY CLUBYORK’S OLDEST HOCKEY CLUB SPONSORSHIP PACKS Type of sponsorship levels; Gift Sponsorship – This could be a cash donation of your choice for example the cash equivalent donation to a set of new match balls, or training equipment. It could also be a food donation in produce or cash value towards our after match teas where entertain the opposition at our clubhouse. £25 Match Ball Sponsorship – with a minimum of 33 home matches available from three teams there is the opportunity to sponsor match balls. Sponsors will be accredited on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages for the full week commencing their match ball sponsorship – along with a mention in our post- match write up which is published in the local York Press. Company marketing material can be displayed within Acomb Sports Club on match day for members and guests of the club to view.

7 YORK’S OLDEST HOCKEY CLUBYORK’S OLDEST HOCKEY CLUB SPONSORSHIP PACKS Type of sponsorship levels contin’d; £50 Level 1 Club Sponsorship – Company will be seen to be a sponsor of the club with 12m accreditation on our website and social media platforms. £100 Level 2 Sponsorship – 24m accredited on our website and social media platforms. A years free social membership at Acomb Sports Club (up to 5 people). Feature in AHC press release and newsletter. Use of our website and social media to promote your own company and market any products or services you provide (within a reasonable volume). £500 Main Title Sponsorship – With main title sponsorship you will have everything previously stated in the other levels of sponsorship but more importantly your company logo will be featured on the club playing kit across all three teams. Your logo will be visible around Yorkshire, from when teams travel to away games to the club fundraisers for the British Heart Foundation and other local York charities.
