Spins Bowl Announces Grand Reopening of Poughkeepsie Flagship Location

Diamond Hospitality Group invests $2 Million at Former Hoe Bowl Mardi Bob Lanes Bowling Center.

Spins Bowl is pleased to announce the grand reopening for a newly designed 34-lane bowling and entertainment center in the town of Poughkeepsie, NY.

Over $2 million was invested for an extensive renovation at the former Hoe Bowl Mardi Bob Lanes Bowling Center at 47 Taft Avenue in Poughkeepsie, Spins Bowl’s new flagship location. Improvements include brand new top-of-the-line professional synthetic lanes and bowling furniture from Brunswick as well as redesigned flooring, bathrooms, restaurant, lighting, large projection TV’s across the entire center, and even a new roof and facade. A new VIP area with 8 lanes has also been added.

This extensive remodel will also aid in the continued revitalization of the town Poughkeepsie as well as contribute to the growing local economy in Dutchess County. The new bowling experience, allows people of all skill sets and ages to participate. The renovation includes a modern design, state of the art bowling amenities inclusive of a 4,000 square foot redemption arcade, 4,000 square foot laser tag arena, projection TV’s, and restaurant/bar. With a growing number of young families in Dutchess County and a lack of indoor entertainment spaces to enjoy, Spins Bowl offers a “new spin” on an old game right in their backyard. There is no shortage of activities for families to choose. Hudson Valley’s new Family Entertainment Center is outfitted with billiard tables, table tennis, air hockey, foosball, darts, and Brunswick Bowl bowling equipment.

“We are thrilled with the new Spins décor, which is the sort of industrial chic feel you would expect in a Brooklyn location,” said Bill Diamond, Owner and Partner at Spins Bowl. “Our centers will have a strong focus on craft food and beer, and deliver top shelf entertainment activities for families and adults. We believe that Spins Bowl Poughkeepsie will be the premier private event destination for Duchess County.”

In addition to the bowling lanes, the 50,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility features a 4,000-square-foot laser tag arena (to be opened in February), as well as a 4,000-square-foot redemption arcade with over 50 games and a redemption store. The VIP lanes feature a private room with leather furniture, and large projection TV’s across all 8 lanes. Guests in the bar and lounge area can also enjoy a game of billiards, air hockey, foosball, or darts.

For private events, a large lounge and bar area will offer an expansive of drink and food menu options provided by, the in-house restaurant/caterer of Spins Bowl.

Spins Bowl will be open 7 days a week. In addition to bowling by the hour, patrons will also have the option of renting out the Family Lanes, the VIP Lanes, or the entire center for activities such as birthday parties, mitzvahs, corporate functions, and other group events. These group rentals give bowlers a minimum of 2 hours of bowling time, including Cosmic Bowling (glow-in-the-dark bowling) with a dance club atmosphere that rocks the center with a state-of-the-art sound system and laser lights ­– use of billiards, table tennis, a party room, and Brunswick Bowl bowling equipment.

The grand reopening festivities commence on January 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by speeches from local dignitaries. Then at 7:00 p.m. Spins Bowl will be christened with a unique “Roll-Off”: VIPs simultaneously rolling their bowling balls down their respective lanes. After which, guests will be encouraged to bowl and tour the facility until the ceremony ends at 9:00 p.m.
