Celtic Elite Takes Down Competition

Celtic Elite Wrestling Moves on to State Dual Championship

Celtic Elite Wrestling Club Moves On To State Dual Tournament

The wrestlers on the Celtic Elite varsity dual team competed at the sectional tournament on Sunday.  In order to move on to the State tournament the team first had to win two out of three duals.  Celtic Elite had to wrestle the Mustang Wrestling Club, Tinley Park Bulldogs, and Spartan Elite Wrestling Club.  Celtic Elite beat both the Mustangs and Spartan Elite.  They lost to the Bulldogs by 6 points.  Winning two of the three duals earned the team the opportunity to compete at the State level.  The state dual meet will be held at Willowbrook High School on January 27th, 2013.   With the clubs numbers up 15% since previous years it gave the club the opportunity to cover all the weights involved in a dual tournament.  “Two of our first year wrestlers placed at the Midwest Classic, which many great experienced wrestlers fail to do.”  Coach Will McDermott explained.  He continued “Our Coaching staff has done an excellent job, and I expected our team to qualify for the State Duals.  I cannot find another kids program, or many High School programs with the kind of coaching qualifications we have.”  The State Dual Team for the Celtic Elite Wrestling Program are:
