Almost 18,000 schools participate in the program nationwide, and Nutmeg Bowl is happy to be one of the 825 bowling centers selected to participate this year. In the summer of 2010, 675,000 families and more than 1.5 million children in 45 states benefited from this initiative. This outstanding summer program provides families with an affordable way to stay active and spend time together.

Nutmeg Bowl is an air-conditioned, state-of-the-art facility that offers a clean, safe, family-friendly environment. The bowling center has a number of different ways for families to enjoy active time together at a bargain price. For example, starting at 6 p.m. on Sundays, the Family Fun Days include two hours of X-treme Bowling (black lights, glow in the dark pins, fog, chase lights and music) a soft drink for each of up to five bowlers per lane, as well as a large pizza, at a price far less than taking a family of five out to dinner.

On Sunday mornings, families can participate in ‘Breakfast ‘N Bowl’. Three games of bowling and a full hot breakfast from Big Bob’s snack bar is only $9.00 per person - a 50 percent savings off the usual price.

In addition to bowling, youngsters from toddlers to 11-year-olds can enjoy "Our Back Yard Play Place," a large indoor playground featuring bounce toys, a rock climbing wall and arcade-type games. Children can have fun and even celebrate birthdays in air-conditioned comfort. Individual rooms are provided for each party. New equipment is added frequently.
