On 15th May, a selection of Year 7 and 8 boys were chosen to represent the school football team at an SEN Football Tournament. This was held at the Vitality Stadium, home of the Premier League team AFC Bournemouth. The matches were all held inside the stadium and all players had the opportunity to play on the Premier League pitch.

The team consisted of: Year 7 pupils – Robert Snowden, Mikey O’Donnell, Alex Henshaw, Tyler Williams, Sam Batt, Barney Pearce and TJ Oliver. and Year 8 pupils – Oscar Galpin, T. Budd and Reece Gaunt.

The team took part in 5 matches throughout the day, winning 3 of them and losing 2. The results, along with the goal scorers, can be found below:

All of the boys played extremely well throughout the day and represented the school in a positive way. There was excellent sportsmanship throughout, ensuring whether we won or lost, they all shook hands with theopposition at the end of the game.

It was an amazing experience for all involved, being able to play on a Premier League Football Clubs pitch, and the boys all thoroughly enjoyed the day.

As a memento of the day, all players who took part were given an AFC Bournemouth Programme and a Team Poster to take home.

Congratulations to all the boys who took part.
