Hi-

I'm getting the following error when I try to start apache (apachectl
start):

Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_auth_dbm.so into server:
/usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_auth_dbm.so: undefined symbol: dbm_fetch
./apachectl start: httpd could not be started

I'm using debian sarge and everything up to this step (#11 in the
installation guide) has worked fine, including installing all of the
perl modules. Please let me know what other information I should
include to make the problem clearer (config files, etc.).

Thanks!

do you need this module? If gerenal rule is never run modules
you dont need. just comment out the module lines in httpd.conf
