Tribal Feathers Badminton Club holds Men’s Doubles Badminton Tourney

The Tribal Feathers Badminton Club, known for its commitment to fostering camaraderie through the sport of badminton, held a tournament on the October 24 at the Indoor Badminton Stadium, Raj Bhavan, Kohima.

The one-day Men’s Doubles Badminton Tourney attracted a total of 20 participants from various clubs, creating an intense and captivating competition, stated a press release issued by Seto Khate, President, Tribal Feathers Badminton Club. The participants were divided into two pools, each consisting of 5 teams, making for an action-packed day of badminton excellence.

After thrilling rounds, the duo Azo Solo representing the Capital Shuttlers Club and Moakumzuk Langtithongru from the Tribal Feathers Club emerged as the champions. The runners-up position was secured by Milto Swu from Dawn Club and Achem Thonger representing the Tribal Feathers Club.

“The Tribal Feathers Club congratulates these remarkable players for their outstanding performances, unwavering dedication, and relentless hard work. Their achievements not only fill them with pride, but also serve as a wellspring of inspiration for countless badminton enthusiasts in the region,” stated the Club.

The Club extended gratitude to the sponsors Dziesevituo Solo, President of ANTA (who sponsored the first prize) and Neidilhoutuo Sechü, General Secretary of AYO (who sponsored the runner up) whose contribution made the Tourney a success. The Club also thanked Ngukato Assumi (Asu), whose sponsorship covered the catering expenses.

The Club also reaffirmed its commitment in elevating the sport of badminton to even greater heights and inspiring future generations of athletes in the process.
