Montverde Academy girls' basketball earned a 61-45 win over St. Francis (GA) in the opening round of the 2023 Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Arizona.

Vivian Iwuchukwu scored a team-high 13 points, while Lourdes Da Silva Costa added 11.

The Eagles are now 7-0 on the season and advance into the winner's bracket and will play on Tuesday against Bishop McNamara at 3:30 pm Eastern Time (1:30 pm Mountain Time)
