Whether you're 8 years old or 80, by yourself or bringing your family and friends, badminton is one of the best workouts you can get, and offers a fun and social variety of play everyone can enjoy. In partnership with our sister club, the Bellevue Badminton Club, our professional coaching staff can help you learn the fundamentals, or raise your game to the next level. Group lessons and private lessons are available for both adults and juniors. The Harbour Pointe Badminton Club is membership based, meaning for a low monthly fee you can gain unlimited access to the club from 6am-10pm. Membership also gives you 24/7 access to our Bellevue location (Bellevue Badminton Club). The club hosts team building, corporate events, tournaments, and birthdays. Drop-in play is always welcome during our business hours, and you don't need to make a reservation ahead of time. Call us, or visit our website for more details -- See you on the courts!

We had no idea this place existed, but we're so happy to be invited and check it out!
What fun to play, share a court and see amazing professionals while we learned and tried our best.
The space gets full quickly, and requires a membership to access.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mara C.SoMa, San Francisco, CA02Oct 16, 2023
My husband and I recently started playing badminton and Bellevue Badminton Club in Mukilteo has been an amazing place for us to practice and hone our skills while also having some great fun with friends! Highly recommend

I have been a member of Harbour Pointe Badminton Club for almost a year now.
I'm seeing a lot of brief 5-star reviews from people who basically love this place, and a few 1-star reviews from people who were upset that the club was enforcing their policies.
In my opinion this club has the right to enforce their club policies. Also, personally I feel that all club policies were clearly explained to me when I joined. Some people are not good listeners and/or do not read thoroughly and/or have a sense of entitlement that the policies should not apply to them. This is not the fault of the club.
I have actually had quite a few negative experiences at this club as a member. However, I haven't reviewed the club until now because I wanted to give the club several more chances prior to reviewing the club. I feel like I've been to the club enough times by now (probably around 20 times total, give or take) to write a thorough and balanced (and hopefully helpful) review.
Here are some of my experiences at the club so that you may be able to better evaluate whether this club is a good fit for you:
1. I have seen several reviews saying that these reviewers did not have to wait for a court.
My husband and I have actually had to wait for a court several times.
Whether or not you're likely to be waiting for a court really depends on whether the free times in your schedule are compatible with the club's less-busy times or not. My husband often only has one day off per week, and we are usually only available to play badminton in the evening on that day. That's one of the club's (relatively few) very busy times. You may want to ask the staff members when the busy times are (not always completely predictable, but somewhat predictable) to see how that fits with your schedule. The club also holds events, ladders, and tournaments so if you want to play during those (unless you're part of them), you're out of luck. Sometimes there is short notice for these events being held, other times there is a lot of notice or else it's a regularly-held event.
2. My husband works long hours, so I specifically asked the club managers/employees if this was a good place to randomly show up alone and find someone else to hit the birdie with me when my husband is not available to join me. The answer was a definite yes, but I found that the club is not a good place for me personally to just show up and hope to find someone to hit with. Probably 90%+ of everyone I've seen there is already there with a partner to play with. People have been more friendly and interested in playing doubles (when I'm there with my husband) than singles. I have had to wait for quite a while to find a singles partner (over an hour usually). Once I went home after being there for over 2 hours looking for a singles partner and never getting to play at all. I talked to the manager and he suggested umpiring and/or attending ladders, but again those times and days haven't worked with my schedule (and also my schedule can frequently be very unpredictable so I greatly prefer drop-in play).
3. The courts themselves are a great place to play badminton. My husband and I joined this club because we were playing together outdoors weekly, and we were sometimes annoyed, inconvenienced, or hindered by rain and/or strong winds. It is great to have a nice indoor playing space.
4. Almost every member at the club is very polite and fair about surrendering the court to us when we do have to wait for a court and when their playing time is up. The time allotted to play on a court, if there is a wait, is 20 minutes. We always want to play longer than that, so we often end up waiting 2 or 3 times in order to get our full work out in, which we find to be somewhat annoying, but it's definitely not as annoying as attempting to play badminton in the pouring rain when we can barely see where the birdie is coming at us from.
5. Every manager and every employee at this club have personally always been great to me. I found each one of them to be caring, personable, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the club's events, policies, products, and culture.
If you have any questions about this club that I haven't addressed in my rather lengthy review, feel free to let me know and I'll edit my review to include your question, if I have an answer.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Xijia W.Seattle, WA03Nov 21, 2018
Maybe the facilities there are new but I would vote 0 star if it's an option.
Had a terrible experience on a Friday night weeks ago...
My boyfriend and I were invited by our friends to this badminton club. To our understanding, every new guest can play at the club for free for the first time. We arrived at a time when they don't accept new guest to play for free - we don't know about that until then. One of the friends who invited us got some kind of warning on their membership. We were told that we need to pay the one-time fee to play. We didn't expect that before we came here and we actually have badminton membership from another club - don't really need to pay to play badminton so we eventually decided to head back home. -- until then I didn't think it's terrible, it's just another weekend plan that didn't work out
Here comes the part that's TERRIBLE & INSULTING. The staff told our friends that they cannot stay here and need to leave with us because he thinks we will not just go home but will come back and play after he left... This was ridiculous and we asked for an apology. The staff "apologized" by saying some like "I apologize but I will check the camera tomorrow morning to make sure my apology worth it". Our Friday night was totally ruined.
Actually my boyfriend and I were considering becoming a member here at Harbour Pointe Badminton Club before this because the badminton club we are in now is too far for us. But thanks to Harbour Pointe we became loyal members of the badminton club we're in, at least they RESPECT people!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Prachi G.London, United Kingdom02Mar 1, 2019
The place is huge, hence the one star but cannot believe how inconsistent their policies are. They say one thing, make you sign another set of policies and say they will send you a soft copy, which is something else altogether. The staff does as they please, the rules are different for every customer and it's extremely hard to get court most of the days! I was definitely very very disappointed.

Hi Prachi, I’m sorry to hear you’re disappointed with our club. I would like to learn what inconsistencies you’ve found in our policies so we can make it right. We send every member a copy of our policies upon signing up. Regarding the staff I would like to know of any issues so we can take action. I realize it is getting more popular at the club so 20 minute rotation is more commonly in effect, however I’d be happy to direct you to times where the gym is less full. Please feel free to reply here or reach out to me directly at curtis@bellevuebadminton.com

We were never informed about the policy of returning the card before the last date of the month to pause the membership when we were signing up for membership. Also, the policy emailed to us did not talk about it either. The policy told to us and what we signed for said giving a written notice before 20th of month will be sufficient. Even after giving a written notice to pause the membership on 2nd of the month my friend was charged for another month. When we tried to explain the situation to the staff on duty he was rude to us and said he cannot do anything, it is the policy.

Great new badminton club in the PNW! I love how high the ceilings are and the spacing between the courts. You no longer have interrupted games by people walking on your court as they make their way to the other courts like you do at Bellevue Badminton Club. The club is very welcoming and I was able to find people to play with fairly easily.
