After years of being terrified to enter a gym because 1) I felt unsure about how to structure a workout, 2) I was overweight and felt insecure about my body, and 3) I HATED working out, I have finally found a gym and a trainer that make me look forward to exercising.

I have been working with Henry for about a month now, and I already feel like this will be the place that I'll be coming for the rest of my life. As a trainer, Henry is kind, patient, and encouraging, but he will also push you because he knows you're capable of it. He is also a truly gifted teacher, and he's been helping me learn about proper form and how to structure my workouts so that I can avoid injury. I also really appreciate that Henry tailors his work with you based upon your own goals. Learning how to work out properly was really important to me, and he's gone out of his way to help me understand how to exercise in a way that never makes me feel silly or weird for not already knowing this stuff. I genuinely look forward to my workouts with Henry -- a sentence I never thought that I would say!

If you're someone like me who has struggled with finding a comfortable gym environment, I cannot recommend Henry or the other amazing trainers at this gym enough. I feel so grateful to have found this place!!

I joke that the owner-trainer here, Henry, is like an Armenian Ashton Kutcher! His boundless energy, clarity of professional purpose and kick-butt training is unbelievable! This is a private gym in the hear of Atwater Village's new Atwater Crossing Innovation Complex. I cannot yelp from the rooftops enough about this guy. I was a reluctant client almost a year ago because I was waaaay overweight and the idea of working out in front of other folk terrified me. My friend had been going for two years and recommended him. Now I actually look forward to getting sweaty three times a week! I really like that it's not a crush of gym junkies daily, it's personal one-on-one attention (Henry has other trainers also depending on what your goals are). All hail Henry!!

The only reason not to review Henry and Fitness Forum is to hoard this best kept secret for myself. But it's time to share the wealth! I've been to many trainers but Henry is by far the best. He is super attentive and knowledgable and, above all, makes working out fun. My husband actually started seeing Henry before I did and I was impressed with how they worked together. So I signed right up and boy am I glad I did!

Oh and one very important side note, the gym is immaculate.

I have been training on and off with Henry for the past 3 years and he is awesome!!! He gives you his undivided attention, challenges you each session and provides you with input and ideas on how to incorporate exercise and a good diet into your lifestyle. I look forward to each and every session. I have referred several friends who will all say the same. If you are looking for a kick butt, endorphin pumping energetic work out, go to Henry!!!!

Fitness Forum is a private gym and I train with the owner Henry who is amazing. very professional and caring. He adapts your workout to your needs and changes it up every time. The thing about it being a private gym, apart from being super clean and never too crowded, is that you pay only for your sessions! You don't have to buy a gym membership! And the sessions are the same price as the trainers I interviewed with at several other gyms (minus the membership cost). I've had different trainers over the years and one major thing I noticed different about Henry is that he doesn't fall into the trap of doing the same thing every session. He pushes and encourages me to do the best that I can. He is always a stickler for perfect form, which is key to preventing injuries. He has an energy and excitement for his job (and life) that is always a pleasure to be around.
