The annual Graiguenamanagh Rowing regatta was held on Bank Holiday Monday.
The weather held up beautifully for the day and it made for ideal rowing conditions.
There were over 70 races on the day with crews from Graiguenamanagh, New Ross, Offally and Cappoquin Rowing Club taking to the water.
One of the highlights of the day was a crew from Graiguenamanagh racing a graduate crew from Yale University.
Also taking part on the day was Anna Brennan who is a member of the Graig Rowing Club.
Anna is a 5th year student in the Presentation Secondary School in Kilkenny.
She came 7th with Team Ireland in the junior women’s quad sculls at the European Junior Championships in Amsterdam on July 30.
She also had tremendous individual success which saw Anna win her first international medal when she came 3rd at the Ghent International May Regatta in the Belgium U23 National Championships.
Anna came 4th in the U18 championship sculls at the hugely prestigious British National Schools Regatta which were held at the London Olympic course at Dorney Lake, Eton College.
She had domestic wins at the Tullamore time trials, Dublin Sculling Ladder, Neptune and Trinity Regattas.
