OAKSWAY CELEBRATE JUNIOR SUCCESS Oaksway Netball Clubs U16s came 15th in the National Clubs U16 Finals, in association with the British Army, at the Redbridge Leisure Centre this weekend. This was the top 18 teams in the U16 age category from across the country competing for the title. Oldham netball club won this.

THE GREAT ESCAPE With a really tough season 2018-2019 and losing 11 of 14 games we pulled it together at the end to do what seemed impossible which we called the great escape to stay in prem 2. We didn’t lose any of the last 4 games which was crucial. It was a great testament to the determination and passion of the squad and coaches. We are looking forward to season 2019-2020 and hopefully a better season for us.

RISING STARS

NORTH EAST RISING STARS SHOWCASE THEIR PASSION FOR NETBALL

It is time to celebrate our rising stars! Although we have some fantastic netball players, we need to celebrate the ones that make the magic happen. Below are our newly qualified coaches and umpires. It is great to see so many taking their passion for netball further and at such young ages too. Lily Foster is part of Durham Palatinates NC she has been mentored as an umpire by me at the Durham Palatinates Junior League which runs on a Saturday morning and by Sharon Scott at the South Durham and Cleveland junior league on a Sunday afternoon. Lily passed her c award yesterday we believe she is the youngest ever in the NE as she just turned 14 in December. Lily has had a good year this year as she has also been selected initially as the only year9 to u17 regional performance pathway and was selected to play in the last u19 NPL match. Durham Palatinates coaches Ailsa Johnson and Marie Ewing are extremely proud of these achievements.
