Cup victory ends strong season for South Molton rugby team
We won the cup! The victorious South Molton team with the trophy after the game
It was the last match of the season, and it proved to be a close fought encounter to the final whistle.
South Molton Rugby Club won the Devon Junior Cup on May 1st, narrowly beating Exeter Saracens 12-7 in the final held at Exhibition Fields.
Only the week before, South Molton had lost at home at Unicorn Park to the same opponents 31-34, leaving them second in the Tribute Devon One league this season just two points behind the Exeter side.
It was a great turnaround for the South Molton team, and a thrilling final to watch for those who made the journey south to support them.
