MIDLAND BONSAI SOCIETY We offer a varied programme of events each month designed to improve your bonsai skills and knowledge. Our friendly group meets at Moseley Cricket Club, Streetsbrook Road, Shirley, Solihull, B90 3PE at 7.30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month. All welcome.

CARERS TRUST SOLIHULL are an independent charity and together we work in a strong partnership to actively promote the well‑being of family carers of all ages. We believe in a world where the role and contribution of family carers is recognised and they have access to the quality support and services they need to live their own lives. We are currently looking for volunteers to offer 1‑2 hours per week in various roles within the organisation, at our support groups, helping to fundraise, befriending and on our organised trips. SOLIHULL MUNICIPAL BOWLS CLUB (Brick Kiln Lane, Solihull, B91 3LE) is an outdoor bowls club, we are looking to welcome new members of all ages and abilities. We offer a 4‑week free trial period with tuition from our trained coaches, bowls equipment supplied, come along learn new skills, meet new friends and have fun. SMBC is a friendly club that is open 7 days a week from mid‑April, we hold weekly “roll‑up” sessions, club friendly matches, league matches for all ages and abilities of player. SHIRLEY CARNIVAL Organised by Shirley Lions Club and taking place on Saturday 8th July in Shirley Park. Official opening by the Mayor at 12.00 noon and then a fun filled afternoon of family entertainment. Entry fee £3 per person or £10 for a family group. Also incorporates Shirley Fun Dog Show with prizes for the carnival king and queen, waggiest tail, oldest dog, junior handler and best 6 legs. Come along with your dog and enjoy all the fun of the day.
