Meet Club Squash Coach – Conor
I have played squash since the age of 8 and has been playing competitively for 10 years. With a passion for playing the game I naturally fell into teaching and I have been involved in club coaching for the past 4 years.
I joined Ipswich Sports Club 12 months ago and I just love the feel of the club and I have enjoyed getting to know the many members coming along to our squash programme.
I enjoy keeping healthy and my coaching has kept my love of squash going – this has now become my chosen career.
The rewarding part of my job is I get to see the improvements players make in whichever goals they are focusing on.
I am a Level 2 certified coach who is always keen to learn new things – I am currently taking my level 3 qualification which I hope to complete later this year.
I am also a keen footballer and enjoy music.
Whilst I am pleased to report I am very busy with all of my work at the club, I am keen to get as many people playing squash as possible. I am always available for a chat or a little advice on Friday’s during club night – since taking this over I am please to report a upturn in numbers and hopefully enjoyment for those attending.
General Manager Andy Yorke on Conor:
‘Conor is a pleasure to work with, he is extremely respectful, mild mannered and profession in everything he does. He embodies everything a club coach should be, a true credit to the team here at the club’.
