Here are just a few pictures that give a feel for the unique setting of HHSC and our facilities. We are based in the grounds of Himley Hall, the historic home of the Earls of Dudley and our clubhouse and classroom are based in the Earl's thatched boathouse. For the historically minded, the boathouse is where the future Edward VIII began his courtship of Wallis Simpson which was to lead to his abdication in 1937.

Dinosaur Rescue
Over the years we have been asked to use our safety boat to help swans, geese, fish tangled in line, dogs, lost footballs, fishermen and children but this was a new one on us. It seems that after a session in the Dudley Arms, some local youths had decided to round off their evening by using a 4 metre, fibreglass dinosaur as a raft. This must be the heaviest, most awkwardly shaped object that we have ever been asked to retrieve from the lake.
