The Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team closed out the second day of the Golden Bear Invitational on a winning note, defeating D'Youville University 4-0 in the final best-of-seven baker match of the afternoon.

With the win, the Griffins finished the day with a 2-3 record and a 2-8 mark over the two-day tournament, placing ninth overall out of the ten teams competing.

In the final match, the Griffins won the opening Baker match 220-164 and went on to win the next three via scores of 172-129, 185-132, and 187-157.   Maddie Gannon and Eryn Moore filled all eight frames that they bowled in the contest.

Two matches earlier the Griffins also defeated D'Youville 842-786 for their first win of the tournament.  Gannon filled all ten frames while Jessica Hollabaugh filled nine of ten.

The Griffins opened the day with a loss to CACC rival Bloomfield College 852-795 with Gannon and Hollabaugh filling eight frames apiece.

Tournament Champion Caldwell University handed Chestnut Hill a loss in their next match 863-775.  Gannon filled nine of ten frames bowled.

The Griffins defeated D'Youville in the next match before losing to Wilmington University 987-872 in their fourth Baker match heading into the final bracket match.  Hollabaugh filled all ten frames while Moore filled nine of ten.

On the afternoon, Gannon filled 42 of the 48 frames bowled while Hollabaugh filled 41 of the 48.

The Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team returns to action on the weekend of November 5-6, 2022 when they compete at the Medaille Brunswick Invite in Buffalo, New York.
