POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- Marist volleyball is set for back-to-back home contests against Iona and Manhattan on Friday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m.
On Friday against Iona, the volleyball team is looking to break the MAAC attendance record, which was set nine years ago by Marist with 1,212 people. The first 250 students to attend the game are receiving free pizza. Members of Marist's cheer squad and band will be in attendance. The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation will also be there with adoptee, Gabby Meikle acting as the Red Foxes guest captain.
- The Gaels have the same overall record as the Red Foxes at 7-10, but Iona's conference record is 3-3 unlike Marist who are 5-1.
- Iona's Mackenzie Wiggins is leading the team in kills with 205.
- Marist is 28-27 against Iona all time. The two teams split their matches' last season.
- Manhattan is 3-14 overall on the season with a 1-5 conference record.
- Jasper's Mikalah Curran is the leading attacker with 132 kills thus far.
- Marist is 30-24 all-time against the Jaspers winning six matches in a row dating back to 2019.
- The Red Foxes next matchup will be against St. Peters at home on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
- First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
