Guildford Ice Dance Club are proud to present their third annual Ice Dance seminar. With ice dance specialist coaches James Lewis, Darren Gargano and Jo Gargano hosting the on-ice elements, ice conditioning specialist and member of the GB Women's ice hockey squad Katie Girdler bringing her expertise to the off-ice side of dance, and ice coach and medau expert Jan Alderman leading our dance and movement class, the GIDC seminar will enhance your holistic experience of ice skating.

The seminar is open to anyone above skate UK 7, however, due to the seminar's structure, skaters will be split into two groups according to ability. Teaching of the higher group will require a minimum skating ability of Field Moves 2 or Dance NISA 4 and knowledge of the steps to the Blues pattern dance. As the club understands not everyone tests, no one will need to prove their level, instead the club will rely on skaters honestly appraising their ability and placing themselves appropriately to gain the most out of the session. If a member is unsure, a quiet word with James or Jo ought to assist the decision. The higher group will be taught at silver/gold/gold bar standard and if the coaches believe a skater will perform better in a different group, they will have the right to amend the group listings on the day. Because of their experience the coach's decisions will be final.
