Ground Number 131

First Visit – 12/5/15 Witton Albion reserves 0-2 Wythenshawe Town (Cheshire League Division 2)

This is a very basic yet tidy little non-league ground, whose owners Lostock Gralam will play in the twelfth tier of the English football pyramid next season.

This ground is in a very nice setting, just back from the main road, but with green space on the other three sides. There is a small training space behind the far goal, and a bit of parking next to the pitch.

The stand, which you can see above is pretty basic, but will provide some relief from the biting wind during the winter. That is about it for facilities for the supporters. The plastic barrier that surrounds the pitch is a nice height to lean on though!

It is clear that there has been some grant funding and further investment in a small clubhouse in one corner of the ground. This comprises all the facilities for the ground, with a small function room and a pie hut which could be useful for bringing in some revenue.

There is potential for improvement if the club gets more funding or moves up the leagues, floodlights and a bigger stand will be the next steps. For now though, it can only be described as basic but tidy,
