Located near the River Camel Estuary is the small village of Polzeath. This village is a well known place for surfers and beach lovers to come and explore. Around Polzeath is many holiday cottages and throughout the small village are restaurants and pubs serving up fresh local fish from Padstow and nice cool Cornish Cider all day, so after you’re done with a coastal walk or relaxing on the beach, take a trip to the local establishments and support the locals that live in this village.
Kennack Sands Beach is located in West Cornwall and is situated in between Coverack and Lizard Point. Despite being in the sheltered side of the Lizard Peninsula this fairly remote location is actually very popular due to being such a family friendly beach. Low tide this beach is huge and features all the family friendly things for children like a stream, rock pools and plenty of facilities like toilets and a cafe for convenience. As Kennack Sands beach faces west its considerably warmer than most other beaches in the area but another thing, this beach is popular with surfers when the conditions are good, during summer its a great beach to learn to surf on.
Tommy’s Pit is located in North Cornwall situated in Bude town. This popular seaside town attracts many of Cornwalls visitors being one of the most loved towns in Cornwall.
Tommy’s Pit has been known to have been built in 1859 by Sir Thomas Acland, Tommy’s Pit stands as the original, albeit less celebrated, sea pool in Bude as Bude Sea Pool steals the attention being bigger and more accessible for everyone.
