ITHACA, N.Y. – Junior pole vaulter Victoria Atkinson won the pole vault with a personal-best for the second-straight week at Saturday's Kane Invitational at Barton Hall in Ithaca, N.Y., and this time, her height vaulted her to the top of the Ivy League performance list.

Atkinson's indoor campaign has been one to remember thus far, and after clearing a personal-best 3.95m (12-11.50) at last weekend's Villanova Invitational, Atkinson raised the bar once again, surpassing the four-meter mark for the first time of her career and clearing 4.02m (13-02.25) to win the event on Saturday. Atkinson's height improves her to second all-time in Big Red history indoors and is the top mark in the Ivy League so far this season. Maria Siciliano continues to show improvement in the event as well, finishing second after clearing a season-best 3.72m (12-02.50).

On the whole, the Big Red fed off of each other on Saturday, claiming at least the top-four spots of three separate events, including the long jump, high jump, and 800-meter run. Leone Farquharson was Cornell's top finisher in the long jump, winning the event with a leap of 6.08m (19-11.50). Her season-best jump of 6.11m (20-00.50) from the Southern Tier Invite on Jan. 8 remains atop the Ivy League. Olivia Rodriguez emerged victorious in the high jump (1.67m/5-05.75), while Zoe Wilkie-Tomasik won the 800-meter run (2:21.48).

In the sprints, the duo of Jada Smith and Bella Davis made their presence known. Smith won the 200-meter in a collegiate-best 25.56 and finished as the runner-up in the 60-meter (7.76), clocking a 7.74 in prelims. Davis finished one spot behind Smith in both events, placing second in the 200-meter (25.65) and third in the 60-meter (7.81).

The Big Red went 2-3 in the weight throw, as Phoebe Price-Roberts (16.56m/54-04.00) recorded another solid throw to finish second and Ella Bormet placed third (15.57m/51-01.00). Beatrice Juskeviciute added a third-place showing in the shot put (13.64m/44-09.00).

Other notable performances on the day include Alexa Richardson in the 400-meter (1:01.38), Rebecca Hasser in the mile (5:09.78), and Margaret Dalseth in the 3,000-meter (10:30.97), as all three student-athletes placed second in their respective events.

The Cornell women's track and field team will be back in action next weekend when it competes in the Dr. Sander Invitational/Columbia Challenge on Feb. 4-5 at The Armory in New York.
