2022 season
30 bowlers compete in Eddie Bowes Triples
In the 2022 Annual Eddie Bowes Triples competition 10 triples (30 bowlers) enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of bowls. Each team played four matches of four ends selected at random. After two and a half hours of keen competition the winners with a score of 20 -11 were Pauline Beecroft, Robin Filippi and Sheila Kindon who are seen above with Florence who presented the cup.

Early start to 2022 season
Unseasonably early warm sunshine persuaded the bowlers to re-schedule the start of their season, making a start for the first time in in March. A week later it snowed! So the resumption came a bit later.

BOWLING CLUB
CLUB DETAILS: The Club was founded in the Spring of 2003. It has a six rink flat green and the game is played in accordance with EBA rules. The green is open at any time to suit members but particularly on Monday evenings from 6 to 8pm for club night and Wednesday mornings from 10 to 12 noon for beginners and newcomers.
The club competes in the Dalesmans League,The Harrogate Ladies League, the Bateson Mixed Triples League and The York Private Members Club League..
In addition many friendly matches take place throughout the season against other clubs. These are usually on a Tuesday evening or at the weekend.
The season usually starts in mid April and carries through to mid September (dependent on the weather).
(Some of the above details may have changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic).
MEMBERSHIP: There are currently 68 members. New members are always welcome and newcomers to the game may 'have a go' before joining. Coaching is available and bowls and footwear can be borrowed from the club.
