One of the perfect day-trip destinations in Dundee is the little town of Broughty Ferry. With a stunning beach, a historic castle and several lively restaurants and eateries, it’s the ideal place to spend a sunny summer’s afternoon.


Often referred to as ‘The Brighton of the North’, The Ferry has the feel of a quaint seaside resort with its own cultural scene and buzzing nightlife. And with a railway station and bus links from the city centre, it’s easily accessible. There’s also a scenic path and cycle route from Dundee to Broughty Ferry along the banks of The River Tay.

Forgan’s is available for private hire with cosy bothies for larger groups, perfect for a special occasion or birthday meal. On Saturday nights, the restaurant transforms into a ceilidh with live country music and dancing.
