Bowl For Kids Sake Cochrane is an exciting event that invites teams of friends, family or co-workers to collect pledges in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring programs for Cochrane children and youth. On March 22nd teams will get together for some fun-filled, Super Hero style bowling action at Cochrane Lanes.

In addition to the glow bowling action, teams will compete for prizes, challenge themselves with Bowling Bingo and enjoy a delicious pizza dinner!

Last year, through the support of generous individuals and many local businesses, we raised over $15,000 to help fund mentoring programs for children and youth in Cochrane.

Why Bowl For Kids Sake?

Many young people in our communities are facing adversities that put them at risk of not reaching their full potential. Mentors form relationships with their mentees that develop their social emotional learning and executive functioning skills. These critical developmental relationships help young people to become resilient, and give them the confidence to achieve more.

A study from the Boston Consulting Group found that every $1 invested in mentoring by Big Brothers Big Sisters returns $18 to society, and up to $23 for the most economically disadvantaged.

By every measure, Big Brothers Big Sisters returns positive, results in the mental health, employment, and civic engagements of the children in our programs.
