Allen Park, Mich. – The AQ women's bowling team competed in its last tournament of 2022 today (Dec. 10) after traveling across the state for the third WHAC Jamboree of the 2022-23 season. Aquinas finished in ninth place after individual game scores of 856, 781, 753, and 799, along with four baker game set scores of 699, 597, 633, and 637. In total, AQ scored 5,725 pins. 

Indiana Tech won the event with a pin total of 6,495 pins. Concordia (6,469 pins), Madonna (6,451 pins), Lawrence Tech (6,426 pins), and Lourdes (6,306 pins) rounded out a highly-competitve top five at the tournament.
 
Audrey Meader was the best bowler for Aquinas at Thunderbowl Lanes today, finishing in 22nd place individually. She scored a 187, 201, 203, and 134 in her four games, totaling 725 pins for an average of 181.25 pins per game.

Michelle Thompson and Carley Blanchard were the other two bowlers to play all four games for AQ. Thompson finished in 34th with a total of 677 pins. She averaged 169.25 pins per game from game scores of 205, 147, 158, and 167. Blanchard bowled games of 171, 157, 154, and 181 to land in 37th place. Her 663-pin total averaged out to 165.75 pins per game.

Nicole Pawloski, Sydney Wetzel, and Morgan Jones finished consecutively in 83rd, 84th, and 85th place, respectively. Pawloski bowled three games with scores of 125, 108, and 151 to total 384 pins and average 128 pins per game. Wetzel bowled two games with scores of 148 and 166 to average 157 pins per game and total 314 pins. Jones would also bowl two games, totaling 296 pins with scores of 168 and 128.

Gillian Lemon bowled one game for AQ, scoring a 130 and placing 96th at the tournament.

AQ will be back in action on January 14th and 15th to compete in the Kegel-ISBPA Midwest Classic. The event will be hosted at Stardust Lanes in Addison, Illinois.
