Cheer and Dance Teams Hold College Interest Day

Glendale, AZ- The ACU Cheer and Dance teams held a college interest day for prospective athletes on Saturday, March 13th.

The event brought high school dancers and cheerleaders from all over the country and included campus tours, tickets and VIP seating at the football game. Attendees were also able to tumble and perform stunts with the current team during the game.

After the game, the Firestorm squads hosted a luncheon that included a question and answer session with current team members. The teams also put on a dance and cheer clinic.

Macy Roberts, a prospective member of the dance team signed her scholarship to attend ACU in the fall.

Dance captain Hannah Bowen said, "It was such a fun day to have a group of interested dancers and cheerleaders come together to explore the campus and we loved showing off, doing what we love to do. It's amazing to see how much the dance program is growing and all the great dancers that are being brought in."

Dance coach Tracy Sandon reflected on the event, saying, "God is really moving on this campus and we loved the opportunity to showcase that, talk about what makes ACU different and display all the different dance styles our team has the opportunity to perform.  I was getting a little emotional watching all the cheer recruits perform at the game and later seeing everyone together at the clinic. It was a glimpse of the future of ACU dance and cheer. I'm thrilled to be a part of it and thank God for the opportunity to work with  such incredible young adults."

Congratulations to Coaches Sandon and Milner for a successful event. Roll Storm.
