March and District Bowls League
The bowls season runs from April to September. Matches are played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting at 18:30. Teams consist of 12 players, four ‘blocks’ of three (triples). Monday Afternoon Triples Competition
We also enter teams in the Monday afternoon triples competition at Gorefield bowls club. Start time here is 13:30 and the rink fees are £2.50. Tea or coffee and biscuits are usually provided.
In-House competitions
Each year we hold in-House competitions between all members. These are singles, doubles & triples. Check Bowls page.
Sunday Afternoon Friendlies
There are some friendly matches during the season played on a Sunday afternoon, usually starting at 14:00. Again, rink fees are generally £3.50 and a buffet is provided.
A few competitions are played. These normally start at 10:00 and are played throughout the day. Again on a Sunday. Costs are decided by the organisers.
Off-Season
During the winter months, we meet on the first Tuesday of each month for a general get together, but sometimes we discuss what needs to be done on the green.
