Elmfield Mixed 3rd team competed in A Division during the 2023-24 season.    Team Captain: Sam Moore

There was a mixture of results for Mixed 3 this season as they competed in A Division alongside Mixed 2. The team won 5 of their matches (5-4 in both matches against Riverside, 7-2 & 5-4 against NCBC & 6-3 against Telecom 2nd team) then lost to Mixed 2 (7-2 & 9-0) and also lost 9-0 to Telecom 2nd team. The team have finished in 4th place and will be competing in A Division again for the 2024-25 season.

Team Captain: Emma Hirst

The Mixed 3rd team won 4 out of their 8 matches (9-0 in both matches against Hexham & 6-3 & 5-4 against NCBC) then lost 9-0 & 7-2 against Elmfield Mixed 2 & 9-0 & 6-3 against Newcastle University. They finished the season in 3rd place with 34 points and will be competing in A Division again during the 2023-24 season.

It was a tough season for Mixed 3 who only manged to play 6 out of their 8 matches and obtained 3 wins. They beat NCBC (6-3 away & 7-2 at home) as well as beating Riverside (7-2). They lost 7-2 & 9-0 to Elmfield 2nd team and also lost 7-2 to Telecom 2. The team finished in 4th place so will be competing in A Division again for the 2022-23 season.

The Mixed 3rd team were in 4th place in A Division as the league was incomplete for the 2019-20 season as not all matches were finished, due to COVID-19 and lockdown. The team won 1 out of their 7 matches, claiming a win over NCBC, 6-3. They lost 8-1 and 6-3 to Elmfield’s 2nd team, 7-2 and 6-3 to Telecom 2 and 5-4 and 8-1 to Riverside.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the leagues were voided and there was no promotion, relegation or trophy presentation in any of the leagues.

The Mixed 3rd team finished in 4th place in A Division, winning 5 out of their 8 matches (5-4 and 6-3 against Yehlex, 6-3 and 6-3 against Riverside LC BC and 5-4 against Telecom 2) then lost twice against St. Gab’s 2, 7-2 and 5-4, and once against Telecom 2, 7-2. The team will be competing again in A Division during the 2019-20 season.

The Mixed 3rd team played very well throughout the season, finishing in 2nd place in A Division. They won 5 out of 8 matches, just losing out to a strong Newcastle University team and will be competing in A Division again during the 2018-19 season.
