Champions – Pan Am Junior 2022

Pan Am Players from Brazil, Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and United States took the podiums at the 30th edition of the Pan Am Junior Championships 2022, held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

United States players managed to reach almost every podium of the competition, winning 11 gold medals in the individual event, in addition to the gold medal got at the Pan Am Junior 2022 – Team Event. USA team also achieved 3 podium finishes with only USA players: GS U15, GS U17 and XD U15.

Canada’s players led the U19 category with 4 golds and an only-canadian-podium in BS U17.

Peru got the third place in the general ranking with 9 bronze medals. While Guatemala won 2 bronze medals in U19, Mexico reached 2 bronzes (U15 and U17) and Brazil got a bronze medal in U19.

The award ceremony was led by Mr. Vishu Tolan, president of Badminton Pan Am, Mr. Generoso Castillo, General Secretary of Dominican Republic Federation, and Mr. Gonzalo Castillo, Vicepresident for South America of Badminton Pan Am.

Umpires who reached continental certification/accreditation were recognized at the beginning of the ceremony, and also the Referee Team and Assesor received a present for their participation at the Pan Am Junior 2022.

Local federation gave a recognition to Mr. Vishu Tolan and Mr. German Valdez for the trust placed in them for the organization of this championship, while Badminton Pan Am gave a present to the local organization for the effort made during the event.
