Juniors success stories
Earlier
this morning at 09:30 the Rollings boys Connor and Kieran had an
awesome win
against
Harvey Johnson and Adam Pitfield of Rushden
to
win the NYBDS under 18's open
pairs,
to add to the outdoor version they won last season.
After
their earlier fantastic win Connor then went on to play Adam Pitfield
again at
14:00,
in the NYBDS under 18's singles. Unfortunately after what was a very
tight game
throughout
Connor lost 21-20, although losing, this is yet another testament to
this
young man’s ability and desire. Commiserations Conner
Connor
was due to play the final of the Northamptonshire County under 25's
singles
yesterday evening against Connor Cinato of Desborough, but
due to a little fact that
Connor
Cinato was in Jersey playing for England in the ,World Indoor Bowls
Council's
Senior
Championships, losing in the Quarter-final on an tie-break. This game
will now
take
place at Welling borough at 10:00 tomorrow morning.
We
all wish you the very best of luck Connor in your endeavour to make
it a two out of
three for the weekend.
Bruce
Sibbett totally upstaged the brothers at the NYBDS "Skillsday"
at Northampton
I.B.C.
In January, by qualifying to play in the National area finals. These
take place
tomorrow
at Melton Mowbray.
Bruce
all the members wish you all the best for tomorrow
Although
this has been an awesome season for all our young members, the
most
exciting
news!!!!
As
most of you will know by now, Connor and Kieran were nominated for an
ENGLAND
INTERNATIONAL
under 18's trial for which they have both been selected. This will
take
place
on Sunday 26th April at Rugby I.B.C.
We
understand they are the only representatives from our county, so not
only is it a
feather in their cap but also that of the club !!
Well
done to "ALL" of our youngsters for a most memorable
season!!!
