To see FIXTURES: follow the link above. Then click on Matches on the left hand side. In the drop downs select Match Group All, and then you can click again to select the division you are in, or go straight to the teams list and choose your team. All your matches including dates, times and pitch number will be listed.

Competition Rules:

  • Games are 7 a side. Squad size maximum of 10 per night.

  • Home team will be required to provide umpire and match ball. One umpire per game. Umpires do not need to be qualified and can use the summer league as practice matches.

  • If you wish to have 2 umpires please liaise with your opposition but be prepared to provide the 2nd umpire if you are requesting it. 

  • In the event of a clash the Away/second named team must change colour. Bibs will NOT be provided.

  • Players may only play for 1 team unless by express permission of the league organisers, not including goalies. Teams from the same Club will be expected to have separate squads and all players must be of the appropriate standard for the division they are playing in. This is to ensure a fun and fair competition.

  • Normal hockey rules apply. Except…

    • Match to be played on ½ pitch.

    • At short corners the remaining 2 defensive players must stand in the opposite circle.

    • If a short corner is awarded as half time or full time is called the corner will be played as per normal rules.

    • Rules that usually apply within the 25yd area will apply from the half way line.

    • Long corners should be taken from the half way line.

    • Matches will be centrally timed. There will be a 1 minute half time.

    • If barriers are placed between pitches to stop balls mixing between games then any ball that hits the barrier will be deemed to have gone off.

  • Any team found to be in breach of the rules may forfeit their place in the league.

  • The league organisers decision is final.

  • Teams must provide their own first aid.

 

League Structure:

  • League Winners decided by points. 3 points for win, 1 point for draw.

  • Places in the leagues will be decided (after points) on

    • Goal difference

    • Goals for

    • Result of match between teams (aggregated where teams play more than once)

    • Penalty Strokes

 

Other information:

  • The clubhouse and bar will be open. We encourage people using the clubhouse to wear masks, keep distancing and use the hand sanitiser provided.

  • Changing facilities will not be available. Please come ready to play.

We welcome teams from Ladies and Mens East Divisions 1 and below.

Prices are £150 per team, all matches will be played on Tuesday evenings at Taverham from 7pm up to 10pm. Matches will start in early May and depending on the number of entries will finish by mid July. The full schedule will be emailed to the team contacts at least 1 week prior to matches starting. 

Teams entering the league that become unable to play will still be liable for the full entry fee.
