Images in the Google Images index are images that exist on sites across the Web over which Google has no control. To remove an image from our results, one of the following must occur:

  • It must be removed from the page by the webmaster of the site.
  • The webmaster must take steps to block Google's robots from indexing the image.
  • Here are some tips for contacting the webmaster of a site.

  • The owner of the image must submit a DMCA request. Learn more

Once the webmaster has removed the image from the web or blocked it from being included in our index, our search results will automatically reflect the change after we next crawl the site. You can expedite this process using the webpage removal request tool.

Concerned about personal information -- like a credit card number or an image of a signature -- in the Images results? Visit the webpage removal request tool, but be sure to contact the webmaster too -- we don't control third-party websites.
